Jason is a practicing kinesiologist
Jason developed a strong interest in physical fitness and health at an early age which inspired him to pursue a career in the physical rehabilitation field. He received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Simon Fraser University where he majored in Kinesiology with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. He also earned a certificate in Occupational Health and Ergonomics.
Jason has gained experience working in multidisciplinary clinics, private gyms, long-term care facilities, and community based settings. Through these experiences he has worked with a variety of different clients. He has worked with both paediatric and geriatric populations, as well as athletes and those with injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. He has assisted in the rehabilitation process of athletic injuries, orthopaedic injuries, soft tissue injuries, neurocognitive conditions, cardiac conditions, stroke, and wheelchair-bound patients.
His experience working with people with severe functional limitations has shown him how important exercise can be to improve one’s quality of life. Whatever a client’s goal may be, Jason is eager to use his experience and knowledge to support them towards it.
In his free time Jason enjoys playing disc golf and tennis, as well as going rock climbing
